JACKSON, Mich. – The bats of the MCCAA Eastern Conference second place Jackson College Jets were red-hot Friday (April 30) as the hosts topped Macomb Baseball by an 11-1 final in game one and an 18-3 tally in the nightcap. Friday's games marked the first two games of a four-game weekend set between the Jets (22-9-1, 13-5 MCCAA East) and the Monarchs (10-15, 8-10 MCCAA East).

The Monarchs host the Jets for a doubleheader Saturday (May 1) at 1:00 p.m.

Macomb Athletics will provide a live stream and live stats of Saturday's doubleheader beginning at approximately 12:45 p.m. on www.MacombMonarchs.com/Watch.

With the playoffs fast-approaching, the Monarchs did not lose ground in their pursuit of securing the final spot out of the MCCAA Eastern Conference due to a pair of losses by Mott Friday afternoon.

At Jackson, the Monarchs were paced by a Michael Kraft (Clinton Twp., Mich./L'Anse Creuse) triple in game one and a Brennan Lux (Shelby Twp., Mich./Stevenson) solo home run in game two. The triple was Kraft's first extra-base hit at the collegiate level, while Lux's home run was his second of the season. Lux as a bright spot in Friday's nightcap, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
